Meet Your Practitoner
I am Heather Johnson, a chartered physiotherapist with 23 years’ experience. Having worked in the NHS for 15 years after graduating with a first-class honours degree, I gained a wide range of experience including care of the elderly, orthopaedics, trauma, neurology and paediatrics. After leaving the NHS, I spent many years in the community, working in assessment clinics, schools and homes. I currently practice musculoskeletal outpatients and I work with many precious clients, treating a wide range of symptoms from Fibromyalgia, joint pain and headaches to low back pain. I’ve also completed further training in acupuncture and became a qualified Pilates instructor, increasing the depth of the care I can offer you. My passion is people – getting to know someone and building trust through careful listening and empathy. My drive to help others stems from my own journey with sight loss, beginning at age seven. This experience has shown me the importance of acknowledging the complexities of the human body and the limitations of our current knowledge. In my current practice my aim is to make a difference to each client, exploring together, not just the symptoms but the emotion surrounding it. I love to bring kindness, care, hope & courage on our journey together.
